The Land Care Division of Virginia Forest Service was developed in 2004 to serve the growing need of landowners who needed total land management assistance.  New landowners with new ideas for land use, called for specialized services for their resources beyond traditional forestry.  Governmental Programs and Tax Codes were, and still are changing, giving more justification for Land Care Services.  There are new options for land owners through Conservation Easements, Land Use and Estate Planning and Cost Assistance Programs.
